The Xbox 360 Version Still Far Away

Age of Conan executive producer Craig Morrison has told IGN, in an article about the 1.05 relaunch of the game (see the trailer), that the Xbox 360 version is still in the works.

We did ask him about the Xbox 360 version of Age of Conan, which has been in the works for years now. He said that Funcom still has a small team working on it, but technical issues remain. “We most definitely underestimated the challenges of getting the engine to run on the 360,” he said.

A “small team” eh? That doesn’t sound promising. Also, do we really care? Isn’t it a bit late now anyway?

Age of Conan Still Due on Xbox 360

At least according to Erling Ellingsen, the ever present Funcom yapper:

“The Xbox 360 version is still very much set to happen and we are working on it,” said Erling Ellingsen, chief horn-blower for Funcom.

“However, there are no dates set, even though we aim for a 2009 release. Our big priority now is, of course, the PC version and fixing the issues with it and improving it for our current players.”

Sounds good to me!
